When starting out, beginner photographers tend to see photos they like and then try to recreate them. They don’t necessarily understand what they’re seeing or why they like it—they just feel compelled to make something that looks like other photos they like. There’s nothing wrong with that, but in order to grow and become your own great photographer with a unique style and voice, you need to understand five techniques and how / when to use them.
